Chalet Glass

Chalet Glass was a Canadian based company that originated from migrant master glassblowers from the Murano area of Italy. Using traditional Venetian glass blowing methods and styles, Chalet Glass used free-form methods that encompassed many non-traditional methods such as the free-form pulled stretch glass style. This glass displays very well capturing the light brilliantly and giving your home that mid-century modern look.

Known as Murano Glass Company in 1960 in Montreal, they soon changed their name to Chalet Glass Company and moved to Cornwell, Ontario just a few years after. Chalet Glass Company was the first Canadian glass company to export overseas and across North America as they became more renowned. Production of Chalet glass ended in 1975 from the economic decline in the 1970s.
