Nomura Bartender

This here is the less common version of the Nomura Bartender, a very nostalgic addition to a mini bar. Multiple variations of bartenders were produced during the 50s and 60s, mainly by Nomura with the trademark (TN). Depending on condition, a nice one of these will cost around $50 to $300 depending on condition and variation. The six actions that it has includes shaking the drink, pouring the martini, drinking the martini, he then puckers his lips, face turns red all while swaying back and forth.

Nomura Toy Company was formed in the 40’s in Tokyo. All the way through to the mid 70’s Nomura was a key player in the mechanical litho toy market. Probably the most iconic toy they made was Forbidden Planet’s Robby the Robot. After WWII Japanese toys were made with complex motions and with such quality that today they are commonly found in full working order.
